Maroon Volunteer Cord

Undergraduate students who have completed at least 200 volunteer hours and graduate students who have completed at least 100 volunteer hours are eligible to wear a Student Leadership and Community Engagement-Maroon Volunteer Cord during graduation. The Maroon Volunteer Cord is our way to honor students for their commitment to making our community a better place for others.

To qualify, students must:

  • Log all service hours on Cowbell Connect by
    • Fall Graduates: November 15
    • Spring Graduates: April 21
  • Undergraduate Students
    • Complete and log at least 200 VERIFIED volunteer hours
  • Graduate Students
    • Complete and log at least 100 VERIFIED volunteer hours

Students are encouraged to submit hours within two weeks of volunteering to allow ample time for review and verification.

We will run a report within Cowbell Connect for Spring 2025 graduates. Our team will email those graduates who meet the verified hours requirement to provide details for cord pickup.
